Northcrypto Granted MiCA License

Northcrypto has received a MiCA license from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority. MiCA is the EU’s new union-wide regulatory framework for crypto services.

              
Northcrypto Granted MiCA License
The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) granted Northcrypto a MiCA license on November 25, 2025. MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) is the first EU-wide regulatory framework for crypto services, aimed at strengthening consumer protection, promoting market stability, and harmonizing regulation in the rapidly growing crypto sector.
With the MiCA license, Northcrypto operates under the supervision of the FIN-FSA as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP). The license enables the company to offer its services in other EU countries as well through the MiCA cross-border passporting regime.
The license granted to Northcrypto covers the following services:
custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients
transfer services of crypto-assets on behalf of clients
In addition, Northcrypto has submitted an application to the FIN-FSA for an extension of the license, which would broaden the range of services offered.
